The purpose of having heels in a cage, or in any confined space, is that they make it very awkward for the model to move as she desperately tries to find a less painful position to be in. In a cage, the heels keep getting caught on the rungs, or on loose pieces of chain, etc. If you lock a model into a small cage, she will start to reach her breaking point fairly rapidly, compared to say, being hogtied with rope on the ground. She will begin to sweat, fidget, try to extend her limbs as they start to cramp. For a model who is trapped in a cage and struggling to cope, catching a heel on a bar and being unable to get it unstuck because she can't manage to pull her leg up by the half-inch more slack she needs to do it, is just great. You can see the beads of sweat form on her face as she has a hot flash accompanied by the realization that by twisting and turning, she has only made her situation worse and has now trapped herself in a particularly awful contortion. I have little to no interest in feet just for the sake of looking at, fetishizing or playing with feet. I don't even like feet unless they are in a sexy pair of heels and even then it's a factor of whether the heels are interesting, not the feet. Whether heels are on or off during a scene is purely a function of which choice makes the bondage more interesting or severe.

dirkman, don't take my previous comment to mean I won't engage in foot torture as you request. my previous comment was only a response that was specifically answering the question of why to use heels in a cage. bare feet being tortured in other situations is fine, and I will definitely do it on a regular basis.
